In loving memory of Patrick Moscatiello
Patrick John Moscatiello of North Hanover, N.J., died peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the age of 41. He was born on November 21, 1980 in Princeton, N.J., the second of four children to John and Janet Moscatiello. He grew up in Ewing, N.J. and later North Hanover, N.J., graduating from Northern Burlington High School in 1998.
In 2016, he married the love of his life, Christina Barria. Patrick was a true romantic, and his commitment to love was evident in how he treated his beloved wife. His passion for life, infectious energy, and sense of humor will be missed by both his family and friends.
Patrick, a mentor and creator by nature, worked for many years in the fields of education and workforce development at the Training Center companies. Like his father before him, he leaves behind a legacy of helping thousands of individuals better their careers and improve their lives. Those fortunate enough to have met him learned unforgettable lessons about how to advocate for themselves. Patrick was charismatic and influential, sharing his interests in travel, food, wine, music, reading, and cars with many people, including friends he met while playing competitive hockey around the country. His generosity and flair for the dramatic helped create moments and experiences that will be remembered forever.
Patrick inherited a rare genetic condition called Li-Fraumeni Syndrome (LFS), which predisposed him to cancer. Rather than view his diagnosis as a setback, Patrick believed his challenges were a gift. He worked as an advocate for patients and their families, and his many contributions to the LFS community have saved countless lives by helping raise awareness and improve access to information about LFS. Patrick once wrote, “I beat cancer in the end because it never stopped me from loving life or the way I lived. I was energized and inspired to become a better version of myself.”
Patrick is survived by his wife Christina, his mother Janet, and his siblings Daniel (Danielle), John (Anna), and Lisa Fox (George) as well as his nephew Stellan and nieces Isla, Ava, Gia, Leena, and Cameron, all of whom he adored. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other members of the Moscatiello and Barria families. He was preceded in death by his father John. The Moscatiello family is hosting a celebration of Patrick’s life on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 with visitations between 3 PM and 8 PM. Please sign up for updates on this website. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Li-Fraumeni Syndrome Association (LFSA) at www.lfsassociation.org/donate or a cancer charity of your choice.
